On October 13, 2021, the “Awarding of Certificate and Extension Support and Ceremonial Launching” and Ribbon Cutting were held for the formal opening of Doña Barbara Integrated Farm as a Learning Site for Agriculture in Tinambac.
With the help of our local government under the leadership of Mayor Atty. Ruel Brioso Tuy, office of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) of the Department of Agriculture, and with the great effort of Ma’am Mara Vanessa A. Barrameda, farm owner, realized the youngest rice-based farm in Tinambac certified by the Agricultural Institute as a Learning Site for Agriculture under 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐑𝐂𝐄𝐅-𝐋𝐒𝐀).
Present at the occasion was Mayor Atty. Ruel Brioso Tuy, Center Director Elsa A. Parot, and other personnel of the Agricultural Training Institute. In the face of the pandemic, the establishment of such a Learning Site for Agriculture in our town is a big thing that can really help improve the quality of life of our crops, for farmers and other agricultural-centered occupations.
In Bagong Tinambac, agriculture has always been a priority program.
