On March 30, 2021, our local government formally received agricultural machinery and equipment from the Department of Agriculture- Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) under their Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund Mechanization Program. The Local Government of Tinambac was fortunate to have two units of Four-Wheel Tractors, one unit of Combine Harvesters, and three units of Rice Reapers. The same machinery and equipment were also donated by our local government to the Cawaynan Farmer Irrigators Association (CFIA) which received one unit Four-Wheel Tractor and one unit rice reapers. The Tierra Nevada Organic Planters Association (TNOPA) also provided one unit Four-Wheel Tractor, one unit Combine Harvester, and two units Rice Reapers.
These two legitimate associations have been selected as recipients of the 2019 Rice Enhancement Mechanization Program based on the following criteria;
1. DOLE/SEC Registered Farmers Cooperative and Association
2. With 50 hectares or more consolidated rice land area.
3. Department of Agriculture Accredited Farmers Cooperative.
