The Local Government Unit of Tinambac under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Atty. Ruel Brioso Tuy joins the observance of the 18- Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).
November 25 to December 12 of every year is declared as the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1177 s.2006. Also, Republic Act. No. 10398 s.2012 declares November 25 of every year as the “National Consciousness Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children”.
During the flag raising ceremony, all municipal employees and other line agencies participated in the kick off activity for the the said event. The objective of the activity is to raise awareness that Violence Against Women and Children is a public issue and a national concern and our commitment and contributions to end VAWC starts with us all.
On behalf of the Local Government Unit of Tinambac, we wish to encourage everyone to participate and commit in the pursuit of achieving one common vision of a Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC)-free community.
